Born in Denver, CO. Francesca Downing attended Denver School of the Arts for Creative Writing. She then went to Warren Wilson College where she studied weaving, as well as photography. She received her Bachelor’s of Art with a concentration in Photography in 2015. She just graduated with her Masters of Art in Teaching from Loyola. Interested in memory, the sentimentality of objects, textiles and the natural world, Francesca Downing is a multidisciplinary artist. She has lived in France, Colorado, North Carolina, Arizona, and Georgia. She currently teaches at the Station North Tool Library and lives in Baltimore, MD.
